Calculator200.com is committed to accuracy, transparency, and accountability. When we make errors — in calculator formulas, interest rates, statistical data, or editorial content — we correct them promptly and transparently.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
All calculator tools and accompanying content on Calculator200.com are:
- Reviewed against authoritative primary sources (Federal Reserve, IRS, CDC, WHO, CFPB, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and equivalent bodies)
- Updated when underlying rates or regulations change
- Labeled with publication dates and last-updated timestamps
- Accompanied by disclaimers noting results are estimates, not professional advice
Types of Corrections
Minor corrections (typos, formatting, grammar): Fixed silently. No public notation required unless the error affected meaning.
Factual corrections (wrong rates, incorrect formulas, outdated statistics): We update the content, add a visible correction notice at the bottom of the page in the format: "Correction [Date]: [Description of what was corrected and why]", and update the dateModified field in our schema markup.
Major corrections (formula errors affecting calculator outputs): We update the calculator immediately, add a prominent correction notice at the top of the page, update the schema, and add an entry to our public update log.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not silently delete articles or pages that contained errors — we update them in place
- We do not artificially refresh publication dates without genuine content updates
- We do not alter published content to misrepresent what was originally written
Rate and Data Updates
Financial rates (mortgage rates, interest rates, tax brackets) and health guidelines change regularly. When underlying data changes:
- We update calculator defaults to reflect current rates
- We add a visible "Updated [Month Year]" note at the top of the content section
- We update the dateModified timestamp in schema markup
- The original publication date remains unchanged
